Susie McDermid

Susie-McDermidSusie McDermid began singing as a young chorister, taking part in residencies at several cathedrals in her native England. She moved to Los Angeles in 2001, and is currently in her seventh season singing with the Choir of St James. In addition to Horizon Chamber Choir, she is also a member of De Angelis Vocal Ensemble and LASchola, and is the Artistic Director of Los Angeles chamber choir The Clarion Singers, which is currently preparing for its second residency at Canterbury Cathedral in July 2016. Susie also worked with renowned British conductor Suzi Digby to create the 16-voice professional ensemble The Golden Bridge, which gives its annual concert series each September in Los Angeles. Susie has studied with soprano Renee Sousa.
