Gregorio Taniguchi is an alumnus of the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at Cal State Long Beach. He has appeared in both summer and winter festival seasons with New Mexico’s Santa Fe Desert Chorale since 2010, and performs frequently in Southern California with groups including Pacific Chorale and the John Alexander Singers. He is inspired by music of the Baroque period, appearing with Horizon Music Group, Pacific Bach Project, and as a soloist and chorister in the Los Angeles Bach Festival.
Gregorio is a passionate educator, and is a credentialed K-12 music instructor in multiple school districts. He also provides coaching for individuals and choirs in vocal pedagogy and language diction training, especially in his first language, Portuguese.
Refusing to be one-dimensional, Gregorio freelances as a chef-for-hire, preparing bespoke menus focusing on quality seasonal ingredients and classic preparation techniques. He is also a Certified Yoga Instructor, having completed 200 hours of training in asana, yogic philosophy, and teaching techniques in the Hatha tradition.
