Amelia Tobiason recently graduated with her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the USC Thornton School of Music, where her primary interests were choral and early music. Amelia sang with the USC Chamber Singers for two years under the direction of Jo-Michael Scheibe, performing with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, on the Tonight Show, and on a performance tour of New Zealand and Australia. Amelia has also been featured as a soloist with the USC Recital Choir, in performances including Bach’s Magnificat last fall. Currently, Amelia sings with the Choir of St. James’ in the City, under the direction of James Buonemani. She is a co-founder of Sweet Temperament Baroque Ensemble, which was selected as a winner of the 2013 Beverly Hills Music in the Mansion auditions. In addition to choral and early music, Amelia has performed several operatic roles at USC, including Damigella in USC Opera’s production of L’incoronazione di Poppeaand Belinda in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with the Chamber Opera of USC.
